How did you get started with bodybuilding?
After the birth of my son I decided that I wanted to get into the best shape of my life. I had been athletic growing up, playing tennis, running track etc., but started having a yo-yo type lifestyle once I hit my 20’s.
I hired a personal trainer when my son was about 4 months old, and just took it day by day until my first show when my son was 13 months old.
How do you stay so motivated? What drives you?
I am not always motivated. I don’t wake up every morning feeling like going to the gym. I just try to remind myself that if everyone could do it, everyone would do it. And I think of my son and the kind of example that I want to be for him.

What is your training routine like?
My trainer, John Sherman, and I do circuit style training. So it incorporates lifting with cardio almost because my heart rate stays elevated throughout the workout.
If you had to choose only 3 exercises, what would they be and why?
- Obviously squats - because no one ever wrote a song about a small butt.
- Side laterals for your shoulder - because I love sexy shoulders.
- Leg Raises - for those V-Cuts.

What is your favourite form of cardio?
Running after the ice cream truck! Just kidding, I alternate between the treadmill, stair master, and Arc trainer. But I really enjoy sprints- only if I am winning though!
What is your diet like?
Eggs and oats for breakfast. Chicken and green beans or asparagus the rest of the day.

What supplements do you use?
