The last date to qualify for the Mr. Olympia weekend has passed.

Mr. Olympia is the largest bodybuilding and fitness event globally and in general, the favorit event for fans and industry. In other words it’s the ‘Super Bowl of bodybuilding’.

The first Olympia was held in 1965 in New York and was won by Larry Scott.

In modern times however, the weekend is held in Las Vegas, Nevada and the Orleans arena between 13-16 September.

In addition, this year is the one where the 38-year-old and reigning champion from Colorado Phil Heath will go for his 8th Sandow, If Heath succeeds with his goal he will be tied with Ronnie Coleman and Lee Haney.

Other prominent winners of the Sandow are Sergio Oliva, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Dorian Yates.

In addition to the Olympia, IFBB Pros have been competing globally for 12 months, trying to reach it by a win or points.
